In 2009/2010 Staying Put assisted over 1500 clients with their Housing Executive grants to improve their privately owned or rented home.

We carried out 933 first time home visits to assess client’s needs we completed documentation on 570 cases and obtained 721 approvals from the Housing Executive for works to commence.

In 2009/2010 Staying Put helped ensure that 812 owners or private tenants had their grant adaptation work completed. These adaptations were completed at an overall cost of £7,738,151.00. In total the Staying Put service obtained £7,396,943.00 of Housing Executive grant assistance to pay for disabled adaptations to private properties.

We do not charge for the advice and or assistance we offer you that is necessary to help you complete you grant documentation. In order to increase competition and reduce the cost of works to the grant applicant the Staying Put service continuously seeks to widen its access to architects and contractors qualified to undertake Housing Executive grant work. By encouraging competition and allowing our clients choice we were able to get adaptations completed with grant aid covering 96% of the overall cost on average.
