About Gnangara

Gnangara opened its doors to residents in January 2011 and is Fold’s newest development. It provides both a warm and homely environment with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where residents can feel secure and cared for. Gnangara has a total of 15 purpose built single rooms with en-suite facilities. There is also a mixture of 15 one and two person self-contained Supported Living cottages.

Facilities at Gnangara

In Gnangara's single rooms with en-suite facilities each resident has their own self-contained flatlet which includes a built-in wardrobe and storage unit. Each ensuite dwelling is carpeted and features a state of the art bed for residents comfort with all bedding in place.

Curtains are also provided in the bedroom. Each room has a television point and a BT telephone point and residents can install private telephones as they choose.

The ensuite facility includes a shower, wash hand basin and toilet. A lockable bathroom cabinet is also provided. Residents are encouraged to create a home-from-home environment by furnishing their own flat and creating a uniquely personal space.

Gnangara has been designed to promote independence while meeting the needs of our residents. There are a range of communal facilities that include sitting rooms and dining rooms where among other things social activities can be enjoyed. Our residents have the benefit of a hairdressing salon, cinema, shop and smoking room. Outside there are extensive secure and well kept courtyard gardens with outdoor seating where residents can walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Care at Gnangara

Our experienced support and care staff are fully trained and pride themselves on delivering exceptional care to our residents. The staff are on duty 24 hours daily and are able to help with various activities of daily living including medication management, bathing, dressing, laundry, cleaning and social activities. A full meal service is available, special diets can be catered for and the cook will discuss residents individual requirements.

Supported Living cottages have fully equipped kitchens where residents can make their own meals.
