Rented properties for Families/Singles and Over 55's
Access to FOLD's accommodation for families, singles and over 55's is through the Common Waiting List. This means that anyone applying for social housing needs to complete only one housing application form but can be considered by any general needs social landlord.
The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) is responsible for carrying out the housing assessments. To apply you will need to fill in a short application form and return it to the Housing Executive closest to your current address.
Application forms can be obtained from us on Tel No 028 90428314 or if you prefer you can download and print the form by clicking here.
You will only need one application form to apply to any of the social housing providers in your area. Please take time to read the notes on the application form, if you need assistance in filling in the form, one of FOLD's Housing Officers will be pleased to help you.
Alternatively you can ring the NIHE directly on 0344 8920900 and they will take all your details on the phone so that you don’t need to complete an application form.
Upon receipt of your application form or your contacting the NIHE directly, they will assess your housing needs and you will get points awarded to reflect your accommodation needs.
You will then be placed on the Common Waiting list for the schemes or area of your choice. When a vacancy becomes available, it is allocated to the person on the waiting list with the greatest need at the time.
Get in touch with us now...If you are currently a FOLD tenant you can apply to us if you wish to transfer from your current accommodation. Tenants of other social landlords, NIHE or other Housing Associations, can also apply for a transfer via their existing landlord.
All providers follow the same rules on allocations and transfers as the NIHE.
